I normally "search" for contacts in my Gmail
account, by simply typing
in the first couple of letters of their name in the field on
the left
side of my Gmail page. Normally, this brings up every
contact that
matches the letters I have typed, etc. I do use my Gmail
contact list
to keep phone numbers also, even for people whose email
address I
don't know. Unfortunately, I have found out that when I type
in that
"search box" on the left side of the page, I only
get contacts who
also have an email address. If I have created a contact
without an
email address, it won't appear on the list.
Is there any way to get Gmail to show me all contacts,
instead of only
those with an email address, when I type their names into
the field on
the left side of the page?

I put a bogus e-mail address in, so they always have one,
like
"bogus spambob.org". Spambob.org is a blackhole, so
if I
accidentally send an e-mail to these people, it just goes
into a hole
and doesn't bother anyone.
