It seems to me I see a lot of email addresses, and partial
but almost
complete email addresses included in the postings.  I use my
name in
my email address, and I think you guys are showing most of
it, which
sucks!  What's the point of a nickname if you're gonna see
my name
anyway?  Fine if other people want to share theirs, but I
don't, even
the partial, since that's my name... so what's the dealio? 
Will
someone reply and let me know how much of my email address
they see?

    I hate to break it to you, but the email address of everyone who is a part of this group is available to everyone else. There are protections in place to prevent spammers from being able to easily scan the group, though. If you are viewing the group through the web interface (
groups.google.com), then poster';s email addresses are shortened and a "captcha" has to be passed before a person can see the whole thing.


If you really want to keep your email address safe, make a new account and use that just for this sort of thing. However, I personally don't worry about it.
