Does any body know if/when google will add a decent
"Append Signature"
option to GMAIL so you can select from a list or leave
blank.
GMAIL is brill but this feature really needs bringing up to
date.
Cheers
Willers.

Well Robert, that's just a workaround that can be achivied
more easily
(notepad copy&paste or iMacros for FF;) )
The feature Willers requests would really be nice. I'd like
to have
that implemented to, along with different signatures to
choose from!

e-mail templates is now on the updated suggestion page, so
apparently
they are considering it.

Maybe one way would be for the signature to be linked to the
"reply
to" address which is already configurable for each of
the email
addresses you have declared; they could add the signature
facility to
the same screen
personal reply address= personal signature
business reply address=business signature
etc
This would make signature assignment more or less automatic
depending
on the address you receive the email at, which would avoid
using the
wrong signature (i.e. sending your favorite Karl Marx quote
to your
boss, or letting the girl you just met know you work for
Pizza Hut).
Lately I have been using a "templates" label to
help me find emails
that I typically use.
While awaiting a real solution from Google, you could always
keep the
lease used ignature in an email stored under a template
label, then
Copy/paste right into the mail.
It's not real good but it is better than nothing.

As long as people can read your signature, I honestly dont see the point of having a fancy signature, or a fancy font for that matter but with GMail you have to change the font on each message. As long as your point is across, why worry about what your signature looks like? I am with Doc on this one.
