I have an account and have been receiving emails and having
them
forwarded to another pop account without problems until a
friend
emailled pictures as an attachment. These were immediately
marked as
spam and not forwarded. I cannot get them out of the spam
folder. I
was told to put his name in as a contact and that they would
be
accepted then as a regular email..............problem when I
try in
make a contact entry or import a csv file the import/export
& contact
buttons do not work. I get nothing. Any suggestions?

I have noticed when I email someone form my gmail account
directly,
their name is added to the contacts list..from there I can
edit it or
move it to quick contacts readily, have you tried doing
this?

I was told here that only emails that I send are added to my contacts. I believe that is correct but not sure yet. I was having difficulty deleting contacts and found out my reason being that I was using the "basic" version.

So, clicking the "Create Contact" link on the Contacts page does nothing at all? No error messages? Assuming you're using a supported browser (Internet Explorer and Firefox are the two main ones), I would report a bug to Gmail.

Yes, "Create Contacts" should be bringing up a window to create contacts. However if you have access to just "basic", there is no Delete capability. If you have "standard" you do have Delete capability. I am using Firefox because it is much faster for me as I have dial up. I also have an accelerator, which is why I know. I was told here, that depending upon my tasks, my accelerator would be faster if disabled. At least my accelerator, Netrocket, makes my computer slower for normal usage meaning other than downloads and uploads. If I want to do either of these, I enable Netrocket.
Personally, I do not know why you are getting nothing from clicking on Create Contacts and getting nothing.
