Spam filter less effective!!??

I've a lot of (sexually offensive) spam lately in my inbox.
It seems
that the spam filter is less effective the last weeks. Has
something
changes in the filter - can it be changed back? I don't want
these
emails.

The messages are getting through because the spammers have
changed
what they are doing. Every so often, they change their
tactics to get
them through people's spam filters.

Since GMail's filters are learning filters, they will figure
out what
the "trick" is and mark them eventually, but you
are their instructor,
and MUST use the "Report Spam" button. Then GMail
will examine the
e-mails and determine what this new "trick" is.
You should see less
and less of them getting past the filter in a few days.

Looking at the email, the rrick they use is quite simple:
they
misspell the offensive words.
It shouldn't seem too difficult to add these misspellings to
the spam
dictionary? (I've reported all spam messages I received the
last
weeks).

another trick they are using is adding letters or symbols to
the
subject, like splitting a word with "#" in it etc.
annoying!! ..I got
a lot of these lately.
I also seem to get a lot of adds for Viagra etc..
I have set up as many filters as I can as the subject line
is what
varies by lots, but the addresses are pretty similar, so I
cut back by
adding the addresses and sending those to trash and I spend
a moment
or so placing checks marks by what I know to be stupidity
and marking
them as spam. this I do each time I log on, which is several
times a
day. when you run a business online you live here this is
your
neighborhood. I do not use gmail for my business and am
extremely
careful giving out my gmail addy, but some sites I think
have
"harvesters" who can pick up on data. as I get as
many spams here as I
do on sites I have to sign up for stuff.
