Okay, now, I am in Germany but signed up for gmail in the
Netherlands,
but I am American and Dutch.... SO... how can this effect my
account?
Can it be closed? My land says America.... would Google just
shut down
access to gmail in Germany? If anybody has read the article
(posted
below) they potentially are going to close down the gmail
service in
Germany.
Heres a link to the article...

If you live in a country, you are subject to their laws,
unless you
are an ambassador.
And if they shut down as a result of that rule, then you'll
suffer the
consequences. The other consequence is staying with the
service and
getting monitored by the government (just ask the Chinese).

If Google decides to cut off access to Germany, they will
probably
block access to Gmail by blocking IP addresses in the German
address
space. The only way to access Gmail that I know of would be
to use
something like http://anonymouse.org or http://anonymizer.com to
proxy
your surfing.
They may or may not delete accounts. Even if you were an
ambassador
(as Doc writes), I don't think that Google will make
individual
exceptions.
