Online Contacts Storage?

Hello there,
As GMail automatically stores EVERY email address it uses,
(which is
super annoying) - does anyone out there know of a good
online contacts
storage? A web based one where it's just the users'
contacts?
I don't always have access to my contacts on my PC (I use
many
different PCs all the time) and would love a reliable web
contacts
site etc?
All this would be unnecessary if only GMail had a good
contacts
facility!

Cheers
Alex

What would be the point of this online contact storage?  You would rather sign on to both GMail and this storage website and then copy and paste all the contacts you want to email to instead of using GMail's built-in contacts.  GMail only stores email addresses that you SEND to.  If that is such a big problem, just go in every once and a while and delete the contacts you don't use.  Or, since there doesn't seem to be a limit to how many contacts you can have, don't worry about it.  Let GMail add them, and just forget about it.

Maybe you could try Plaxo or HighRise. I don't worry about
GMail's
contacts so I haven't looked for an alternative. But I saw
these
mentioned in the Mac PIMs group.

Plaxo came out with a new version will supposedly support gmail contacts soon.
It now supports sync with Google calendar.
