What are you trying to register, Marcia, a domain name? If so, and it's for a web site, and the web site is going to be set up or hosted independently, there are outfits you can find on the internet that will do it as cheaply as for $9. If you are going to set up a web site via a provider such as Microsoft's Office Live Basics, which is free, registration of the domain name also will be free. If you have some other kind of registry in mind, let the group know. - Wolfeman

I assumed she was looking for a system registry
editor/cleaner for
Windows. A search for "windows registry clean up
free" (without the
quotes) brought a bunch of hits, but I've never used them
and can't
comment on what's best.

Lobo, Mr. Rudick is right:
That's what I'm after - a system registry editor/cleaner. I
want to do
every possible thing (on my PC) before reporting the
problems I've
been having with GMail as bugs. As I don't know any of these
things, I
was hoping someone could recommend a tried program.
