I have been POP access on gmail for sometime now and have
been really
happy with it. Till a few days ago that is.

For some reason, emails after a particular date do not
download
anymore. I tried to download mail through several email
clients
including my mobile phone, in vain.

Email that are downloaded are over a year old. I have
checked all the
settings and it seemed to work prefectly with those very
same setting
before.

Can anyone help me?

maybe you are client in intranetwork so that option under control of the administrator... i mean IT of the intranetwork...
if it or something happend in you account

I'm confused.  If you've been using POP access for some time
now,
hadn't the old messages already been downloaded to you
client?  Why do
you need to download them again?  Have you changed email
clients?

The only thing that comes to mind right now is that the
Gmail thinks
the messages have already been downloaded and so it doesn't
think you
need to do it again.  You can always reset the POP Download
Satus to
"Enable POP for all mail (even mail that's already been
downloaded)."
This will likely give you a big mess with duplicated
messages in you
email client.
