í'm happy with gmail, but there is a little anoying thing..
where can
i see the total number of emails in my inbox?

If you truly mean the inbox, then it's in the bar at the
top, towards
the right, it'll say X of X, with a next link etc.

If you mean, every message in your account, then use the
ubiquitous
"All Mail" and it's in that same place.

True, but how important is it to really know the number of
e-mails vs
the number of conversations?  I personally don't have many
conversations that extend beyond 5 messages.  Messages in
forums like
this are the exception, but I don't archive them in my mail
for long
cause I know they're archived on the web.
