I had the same problem once for a couple weeks, MANY months
ago. I
wrote to GMail about it (through the help/contact us link)
and though
I never received a personalized reply, it eventually
corrected itself.
Perhaps it was a problem with a single server/group of
servers.
Send in the complaint so they know which user(s) it's
affecting.
