| Auto-responder only to certain people? |
  United States |

Hey I was wondering if any of you know if it would be
possible to set
up an auto-responder to send to only certain people. I know
you can
specify to do it just to your contacts, but here's what I'm
trying to
do.
I just got my wife converted to gmail from hotmail. I've
got it set
up so that her hotmail is being forwarded to her Gmail
account. So
what I'd like to do is tell gmail to send an auto-response
to anyone
who sends email to her old hotmail address. You can specify
all those
emails because they have a from address of her old hotmail
address.
So is there a way to set up a filter or something to say,
send an
autoresponse to any emails from such and such address?

What about using an autoresponder from within Hotmail.

Oo, I wish, but of course, Hotmail doesn't have that option.
Unless
you know how to do it?
Thanks,
Nate

Hmm, I didn't think you could forward your mails from
Hotmail. Interesting
if you could though. I believe there are some forwarding
services though
that you can sign up for, so they may support forwarding
from Hotmail. Check
out www.emailaddresses.com. Hope that helps.

Well, actually, you're correct, you can't forward emails
from
hotmail. What I'm actually doing is using an app called
FreePop that
downloads my hotmail to my pc, and then an appcalled
FreeMail that
forwards it to my gmail account. So I'm just looking for
an
autoforwarder to tell all those people that still email my
wife's
hotmail address.
