Hi all,
I'm helping a friend set up her Gmail using Outlook Express,
which went very
well. However, she stated that the help page containing
configuration
instructions doesn't mention the recent mode feature. Could
this be
implemented? What do you all think? Thanks!

I think the pages are fine like they are. Recent mode is
mentioned in
the help section on using mobile or multiple clients to POP,
and AFAIK
(I don't use POP), this is the only time you need to use
Recent mode.
The standard pages on configuring your client should be as
simple as
possible, to make them easier for the common person to
understand
them.

I feel this is what Google tried to do with their help
(emphasis on
TRY cause I agree they aren't always the easiest to find).
This is of
course my opinion, and if you still think it warrants
change, I'd use
one of your suggestions to list this. I'm sure they are
open to
suggestions on how to improve the help pages. They have
changed the
organization of them several times over the past 2 years
(that I've
been noticing) so they don't seem to think they're already
perfect
either.

Thanks for your thoughts. Well what they could do then is
post a link to
that help topic under the see also section or something like
that.
