System status information

I'm from Canada and started getting access again in the
afternoon. I
doubt that this type of a problem is regional. It is more
likely that
one of the servers failed and that a bunch of accounts
stored on that
machine were disabled for a while. That's why I'd really
like to have
a web page that one can check to see the severity of the
issue with a
projected time for the repair.

So far I have experienced only few login issues with Gmail,
so I hope
that these problems will stay rare...
