Any way I scan view chat records in google talk?

Any way I scan view chat records in google talk so that we
don't have
to sign in gmail to view them. Sometimes I don't remember
someone I
have talked to, but with the help of chat records I can know
who they
are. It's annoying to sign in gmail to view the records, so
will google
work out a way to make this available?

Good Idea.

When we open a chat window in GTalk, the previous chat
history with
that contact should be downloaded and displayed in the chat
window.
