Is there a setting to allow more than one Gmail Account to
be open/
logged-in at the same time in different tabs or windows? or
possibly
different browsers?
I use two email accounts and find it difficult to
continually logout
and login over and over. I need to keep the emails separate
for my
sanity managment.
thanks.

You can do it in different browser windows but NOT in the SAME window. Just open two sessions of IE, FF or your current browser and it should work.

Different windows would not work unless you had the add-on
to keep
session cookies on a per-window basis. Since Google sets
cookies to
tell which account you're in, they would step all over each
other. I
just tried it and logging out of a different window kills
the session
in the other window.

An alternative you might have already considered is to
automatically
forward one account to the other. In combination with
sending from
other accounts, you can live out of one inbox while having
certain
accounts for specific purposes. I've found this to be
generally
practical.

Fuzzy, you're wrong. I do it all the time. I am logged onto two different accounts ALL day long and have never had any problems. I do the same at home with my wife and I's email. It works.

How can you claim that what I'm seeing by direct observation
is wrong.
Do you believe I am hallucinating?
How about being less a jerk and more specific? What browser
are you
using? What add-ons do you have installed?

I have no add ons installed. I am using IE and FF. It works with either browser. IE at work and FF at home. It runs two different cookies for the different sessions I am guessing. I am no expert on why it works. I just know it does on BOTH supported browsers. And you can quit being such an ass. I was not a jerk to you. Simply correcting you, nothing more.

An alternative if you run FF is Gmail Manager (https://
addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1320), it will check
your
accounts regularly and alert you for new messages.
Switching accounts
is a breeze too.

It may have something to do with your security settings as I
am unable
to use the same browser for logging into my other gmail id
(As I write
this email, on FF). Ditto for IE and Safari.
Peace...
