| How to trace my Post ? |

As a newbie to Gmail I am having some beginner's trouble.
After
posting, There are no DATES to the entries in the replies.
At least,
not for several pages.
Is there a quick method of accessing one's post bu usename
or
Subject ?

You can search by date by clicking the "Show search options" link to the right of the search box in Gmail.
However, it might help you to tag conversations you are interested in keeping track of by archiving things which you no longer immediately need (they are still accessible under "All mail"). This will remove them from your inbox so that finding messages you are still using are easy to find without searching.
If you were actually talking about Google Groups (not Gmail), then you're out of luck unless you have the groups delivered to your Gmail account.

By "tag" in that case I just meant mark or denote, as in the meaning of definition 29 of http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/tag , not the typical computer definition. Sorry for the confusion. Re-reading my sentence, I could have put that better.
You can search Google Groups most easily using http://groups.google.com/advanced_search?q=&
I personally have all of my Google Groups delivered straight to my Gmail account, but that's a preference thing. Some people dislike having the extra conversations incoming, but a proper use of Gmail's filters and labels can keep everything clean. For instance, I have filters which match all of the mailing lists (Groups, in this case) I am a part of, label them with something appropriate ("Google" for this group and similar ones), and have them "skip the inbox." That way the more pressing "real life" (bah ;>) messages which come in don't get lost in the conversations from these very talkative groups. I'm a bit odd in that I save all of the messages which come in, despite there being the web interface archive, because I find that the Group search is often a bit... lacking. Not really sure why, but it just seems like I have trouble finding things with it.

I tried the link, "Show Search Options". This takes me to a form to complete in order to check if I have had aby answers to my Post. Not sure what you mean by "tag" conversations....etc. But, yes, I
was referring to a post to the Group for help with a problem. I might have missed something here. Apparently I should always have the Groups delivered to my Gmail account Is this correct? I'm still
in the learning stage with Gmail !
