Well... the only things I delete are messages I know are
stored
elsewhere (like these groups), or that I have 2 nearly
identical
copies of (I've forwarded it and delete the original). 
Otherwise,
yeah I don't make a regular habit of deleting.

I delete regularly just to keep my page clear.  I get about
300 emails
a day and as much in spam.  So delete or dump both incoming,
spam and
trash just so there is less to wade through; even so there
is still
about 1,000 that I haven't had time to open yet.
That's just me.   Othere have their way of dealing with it.
