unability to use my account - seems someone hacked it - will it mean data loss

Friends, since 27.12.2007 I am facing a pecular problem i.e.
I can not
use my account as it shows a wrong password but my password
is right,
I know.  It seems someone has hacked it.  Moreover abusive
message has
been sent to all my contacts.

I switched over from rediffmail.com as one of my friends
recommended
me, he helded me to make new id "chessinindiagmail.com" as I am
publisher of chess magazine.

I am feeling totally helpless, as google team has not been
able to
resove the issue - my bigger worry is today it happened to
me, it can
happen to all other users in one stroke,  hence google team
must come
out with a solution.  Moreover, I donot know, if I will be
able to
recover my data of emails both sent and received. since
account can
not be used,with that ID, i am trying with this other ID.

problem resolved quickly.
