Recover deleted email

By mistake I made a "delete forever" on an
important email that went
to the spam box.

Is there a way to recover it, or at least to avoid that the
next time
it will go to the spam?

was a
mistake?! The information you gave is redundant: of course
there is
the "Not spam" option.

My question is clear: how to make sure that in the future I
can
receive the emails from that sender?

According to this help page:
Legitimate messages are marked as spam

If you add the person to your contacts, they'll never be
marked as spam.

What this page fails to mention is that every time you Mark
a message
as spam, Unmark a message as spam, or even accept the
marking/unmarking GMail gave it originally, you're teaching
GMail's
filters to identify that message.  GMail's spam filters are
learning
filters, and each time you unmark a marked one, it looks for
reasons
it first marked it, and re-evaluates them.  This way, it
will learn
not to mark messages you don't want marked, while still
marking ones
you do want marked.  That's why it's important to make sure
you catch
and unmark the false positives.  It will eventually stop
marking them;
but it can't hurt to add the person to your contacts if they
do send
you important messages.

You need to do nothing to make sure you can receive mails
from that sender.
