Peeve about label drop down

I've been using the new version of Gmail for a few weeks and
it
finally occurred to me that what I want is a Top and Bottom
button on
the label drop down menu.  After putting a label on a
message the drop
down menu saves the location I was in (for a few minutes at
least) and
if I want to Mark as Read I'm scrolling back to the top and
I would
rather click on a button to go back to the top.  The Older
version
would automatically reset to the top which occasionally left
me
scrolling down to apply multiple labels but it was always
easy to Mark
as Read.  I just want the best of both worlds.

You could turn on keyboard shortcuts (Gmail settings) then
press 'I'
(capital i) when the conversation is checked. To see all the
keyboard
shortcuts type '?'
