Actually, the presence, or absence of hard returns (wrap too
often) in
the e-mail are exactly the sender created problem.  The same
as this
problem coming from the sender.

What is happening is that the sending client is inserting
"non-breaking spaces" rather than
"spaces".  Since they are
"non-breaking" GMail can't break at them to wrap
the lines when
received.

Tell the sender to either use standard spaces, or plain-text
mode.
Plain Text has no character for "non-breaking
space".

I guess that makes sense. It just hasn't happened to me.
