Can I Manually Create a Conversation Thread?

I send a lot of e-mail back and forth to people who tend to
not just
reply. Thus, I have an entire first page (100 emails) that
looks like
this :

friend, me (2)     <Topic>
friend, me (2)     <Topic>
friend, me (2)     <Topic>
friend, me (2)     <Topic>
friend, me (2)     <Topic>
friend, me (2)     <Topic>
friend, me (2)     <Topic>
friend, me (2)     <Topic>
friend, me (2)     <Topic>


Is it possible to combine these already existing messages in
my inbox
in to one conversation? So I could turn the above in to :

friend, me (18)     <Topic>

Any help would be appreciated.

That would be a cool feature to have as I'm having
similarlry
unorganized threads from people still using Yahoo and
Hotmail, which
creates a new thread for every message
