why does my login pasword not get accepted so often

well i just about fed up with gmail.i have lost some very
very valuable
information twice now since i had the account.every so often
i can not
log into my gmail account and then i have to reset my
password and i
lose all my contacts and all information i had in my email
account.why
does gmail do that.is there someway to stop that please.i
would be
greatfull for any advice...

    I don't understand how simply resetting your password causes you to lose any information at all.  Contacts and emails are gone when you reset your password?
