Can't login to second gmail account.

In Outlook 2003 I have setup a second gmail e-mail address
just like
the first gmail account I created. the first account works
fine -
Outlook 2003 accesses it fine and downloads the e-mail into
the Outlook
client.

The second account cannot be accessed by Outlook 2003 --
instead saying
that the gmail userid or password is not recognized by
gmail. I've
verified the new gmail account userid and password -- am
able to access
the e-mail via gmail web. In fact, the inbox on gmail.com
for this
account/address shows multiple test messages from Outlook
2003. So, I
don't know what to do -- maybe gmail doesn't allow users
to have more
than one account . . . I don't know.

Try using another email client for your second account.
This might be
a cookie issue

I know this is obvious, but have you remembered to turn on
forwarding
on your 'problem' account before accessing it with
Outlook?

Thanks for all of the feedback -- I finally figured out that
I have to go to
the account setup for the second gmail account in Google's
account setup and
configure the e-mail for POP3. I had done so within the
client, but didn't
realize I had to on the Google side :-( Thanks again
everyone.
