Problems with logging onto gmail via the mobile

I've done a search but to no avail. I used to have no
problems with
getting mails via the mobile but as of two or three weeks
ago the
following problem started:

I'd be directed to the log-in screen and fill out all the
neccesary
details and click on sign in. I reach the "Entering
Non-secure area"
screen and then get re-directed to the log-in screen. Don't
understand
what's going on.

Any help would be appreciated thanks
