Please, Please, can someone tell me if there are any plans to fix auto-add of contacts to make it ju

I'm about ready to give up on gmail for one main reason - it
adds as a
contact anyone I send a message to. I DESPISE this feature
and I know
a ton of other people that do as well and just don't
understand why
this 'feature' is not an option? It wreaks havoc when you
want to sync
your contacts with other applications like plaxo. Does
anyone know if
there is ever going to be a plan to make this 'feature' an
option and
not happen automatically?
