Well, I experience the same problem with opening my account
using both Gmail
notifier (via the content menu by right mouse click) and by

But both problems arise usnig FireFox 1.5.0.7 only, there is

Over the past week my Gmail freezes up on me for about 15
seconds, whether I'm
in the middle of composing an email or reading one. My
cursor stops moving,
the hourglass pops up and I'm stuck in limbo for 15 seconds.
It's irritating

I don't believe they are gone, just sitting in your trash.
They aren't gone
forever until you empty your trash (though I think if
something sits in the
trash for over 30 days it's automatically deleted). Bottom
line -- look for it
in your trash. I also just learned that you can search your

Massive increase of spam - 1 new

Ive been using gmail for over 2 years now and have recently
(last few weeks)
noticed a major increase in the amount of spam that gets by
the filter. Dont
get me wrong, I get spam every day, but until now the filter
catches almost
all of it. Now I'm getting about 30 spam messages a day in
my inbox. Im still

Does anyone know of a way that I can intentionally get my
account locked for a
day or so. I need to remove the temptation of checking and
responding to my
emails for at least a day. Sounds insane, I know. But I wish
I could. The
locking is restricted to these activities, which aren't
things I can

In Gmail, I added my university email address as my
alternate address and made
it the default address. : bbend...mail.utexas.edu I have done
this before, a
week or so ago, and I was able to recieve emails that were
being sent to my
university address and send them as well, from bbend...mail.utexas.edu, all

Plus addressing sounded great, but the first three websites
I tried to use it
on wouldn't take it (Paypal,BnkofAmerica,ebay). I've
reported it as a bug to
their developers, but they all responded as if I had two
heads(why would I
want +'s!?). This feature is only useful if webforms will
allow +'s in email

you send will seem to come from your gmail account, not your
.name account,
and isn't that the point of having one? And even then, that
won't help mail

Yes. There's a pop-up window asking whether to open or save.

finished saving the attachment, all the links in the
original window seems not

mails. Here is the weird thing: when you click on 'more
options' it usually
