To answer simply: A label is not the same as a folder! What
you need to do is
to click Archive instead of Delete in the inbox when you
have assigned a label
to an email. Thus the email will be moved out of the inbox,
but will be found
when you click your label. It can also be found under All
Mail, which is (

pedens, The refreshing is by default so that the Gmail web
applic can tell you
if there are new email arriving, and generally stay updated.
If you have a
very slow connection, then this might be a problem (but
I've tried Gmail on a

best not to depend on it 100%.
Keep a "backup" of your email with an email
client on your PC, e.g. Eudora,
Outlook, etc. Then set the client to get your email through
the POP connection
AND leave your email on the server. This will give you a
copy of all your

that has no problem.
Make sure you reply to the automated messages that come back
to yoiu. With the
cookies and cache files getting corrupted leads me to
suspect that the servers
session files linked to your account are bad in some way,
the gmail team can

Gmail not getting loaded - 2 new

Hi, I have this strange problem of gmail not getting Loaded
if i ask it to
remember the password. It was quite normal until few days
before and i used to
access my gmail by just typing [link] and it used to
automatically log into my
personal laptop in which i had asked it to remember my
userID and password.
But strangely since last week it has - Thurs, Apr 6 2006

I have read all the messages relating to this issue. I'm
having the same
problem as others and the suggestions provided have not
solved my problem. Did
everything as suggested. Your verification email is sent
using the new email
address but because it does not exist as yet (cannot be set
up without the

have my gmail setting set up to give me two e-mails with
which I can choose
for sending mail but if I need to send from the non-default

Talk Email notification - 1 new

When I have new emails, it's great to be able to see that
in the Talk icon in
the taskbar without being logged on email. However,
yesterday it said I had
two new emails hours after I opened the two new ones, so I
restarted the
computer and that turned it off or reset it correctly. BUT!
Today I had two
new emails that it DIDN'T notify me about! - Thurs, Apr 6

contacts were visible on my main page..and i could compose
and still see if
