Suddenly cannot open attachments - 2 new

I have never had a problem opening attachments previously
but recently I have
not been able to open any. When I try downloading them they
open as a zipped
file but, they are not. In the email they have the proper

Folks, I've used pop3 to grab most of the email I had on
gmail, yet my space
utilized is still pegged at 100%. How long does it take for
it to register
that about 75% of my email is not there anymore. And yes my

So I logged into my account today and I was stuck in Basic
HTML view. The only
way I have been able to go back to Standard View is by using
the Google "no
browser check" link. I even tried clicking on all the
"Standard View" links I
could find on the page and nothing helped except that no

"find" bar at bottom of page keeps popping up -

everytime i try to type an e-mail using firefox and try to
type an apostrophe
or a forward slash it pops up the find bar at the bottom of
the page. this is
VERY annoying. how can i make this stop? i dont know if this
helps but i'm

solution. I imported (re-directed) over 3000 emails on May 2

over the years that were in Thunderbird. Of course they all
