API Key registered for a different site

I am trying to write a piece of code that will return 5
particular
locations on a google map.  I can get everything to run
locally with
no errors, but when I try to access my website to display
the
locations on a google map, i keep getting this message:

"The google maps api key used on this web site was
registered for a
different web site.  you can generate a new key for this
website at
http://code.
google.com/apis/maps/."

my site i am trying to access is:
http://dev.mis.uwec.edu/~wagnermw/cgi-bin/ipaddres
slocator.cgi

When signing up for my google map api key, that is the site
i entered
in at the bottom.  I then pasted the key into my code right
where the
api documentation told me too.  What am I doing wrong for
internet
explorer not to recognize my key with my site?

The key that I generated for that url did not match the one
that you
are using there.  I would try to re-register the key, but
I'd probably
go with the URL http://dev.mis.uwe
c.edu/~wagnermw/ as that will give
you the most flexibility for using the API with pages in
your user
directory.
