| AJAX feed api - Open article in pop-up
or modal window? |

When using the feed api to display RSS feeds, is it possible
to target
the links into a pop-up or modal window? Perhaps in
something like the
GreyBox script?

Using the .setLinkTarget method, you can set the link to
open in any
pop-up, frame, or iframe you want. (GreyBox utilizes the
iframe
method.)

Jeremy - thanks for your reply. I believe that GreyBox uses
the "rel"
attribute to trigger the window. Can this be achieved with
the .setLinkTarget method? Any direction of code samples
you're able
to provide would be a tremendous help. Thanks.

The GreyBox code essentially builds an iframe inside a
series of divs
that float over the rest of the page content. So yes, you
could use
something similar. You would just have to make sure that
the iframe
had an id so it could be referenced via the target attribute
of the
link.

Thanks again, but how do you reference a DIV via the target
attribute?

You don't reference the div, but the iframe, which just
happens to be
contained within the div.
