So I tested out the invite email when you add someone to
share/view
your calendar. It does not even explain to the recipient
what is going
on. It invites them to Google Calendar but does not tell
them that
they are invited to look at "your" calendar.
When I first read it I
thought I was just an invitiation to GC, I would have
quickly deleted
that junk email. However, once you click the link the
calendar is then
added to your account.
Google,
Please add a sentence or paragraph to the sharing invitation
email
telling the recipient that they are now shared with
"the senders"
calendar. Also, on your pop up asking if we want to invite
the sharee
to GC, people would usually click no. However, if no is
clicked then
the calendar is not shared. This is retarded. If I just
added them to
be shared why would u ask me if I want to invite them to
Google
Calendar, do it automatically containing the info in the
previous
paragraph? If I click no, then they will never be able to
see my
calendar.
In short, if someone wants to share a calendar don't ask to
invite
them. If they are not a member, then invite them all ready.
In the
email, explain to them what they are getting. I hope Google
does not
spread themselves to thin. Don't put out a shitty calendar
program
just to say you have a calendar program..that is misleading
to the
public and bad on your part, it would turn users away from
google.
Instead, perfect smaller issues and take over the game.
If you want an employee with common sense, you can contract
me out to
test your systems.
