Go to Calendars on the left side of your screen. In the blue
box, it
says My Calendars. To the right of the title of your
calendar, you will
see a colored tab with an upside down triangle. Click on
that tab. Four
links will pop up. Click the second one that says Calendar
Settings.
You should now see a yellow frame that says (Your
Calendar's Name)
Details. Go down to Calendar Address and click on the blue
and white
button "HTML".
Copy the URL that you see in the pop up. That is your
address that can
be used as a link to your calendar for viewing online by
anyone using
any browser.

If you are familiar enough with HTML, you can follow the
same steps
above but click the HTML blue/white button and click
Configuration Tool
to embed your calendar in your Web site. I use the function
for my
business Web site and it looks a lot better than sending
your visitors
to an external link outside of your Web site (depending on
how your
site has been formatted.)

As for sending invites and such, I think your visitor would
still need
a Gmail account. This isn't too much to ask for since the
service is
free and Yahoo! would require the same if you used their
free service
as well. If you wanted to have a calendar that allowed
people to
interact with the calendar and send invites without a Gmail
account,
you would have to do some programming or hire a programmer
to do that
for you. You would also have to deal with dedicated server
as well,
which would cost you more time and money, in addition to new
headaches
related to privacy and security. You would also have to get
involved
with so many any things like scripting, which if you are
like me, are
way beyond your own skill level and budget!

I am not an IT geek, but I hope this info helps you and
others.

I have gotten this working but there seems to be an odd bug
or
unconfigurable option- it is not showing events in my local
time (I am
central, it is displaying Cali time). When I view my
calendar logged
in, the times are correct. Is there a hidden preference i
need to
tweak to make this correct?

Switching to another time zone and then back solves my TZ
issue. Not
sure why it occurred, but there you go.
