That's interesting, because the API Developer's Guide
says:

"You can ask Google to automatically charge all new
orders as soon as
they're chargeable. This feature is controlled by a setting
on the
Settings: Preferences page of the Merchant Center. If you
enable this
feature, Google will automatically try to charge each order
for the
full amount after it has been authorized -- you do not have
to send the
charge-order message. If you use this feature, note that you
must
initiate a refund if the goods are not available."

Now, I guess you're only supposed to use this when selling
downloadable
good's or otherwise I don't see how you could ship before
charging when
set to charge automatically, but no such mention, at least
not in the
Developer's Guide.

The Policy indicates that you cannot use it for intangible
items such
as a digital download so it appears that the intent of
Google is not to
use it for this purpose. Does anyone know how to contact
Google
support to get this cleared up?

Is "it" the API or Google Checkout,
specifically?

I've read (and re-read) the policies, and can't seem to
find a
restriction on digitial delivered goods (such as software
and ebooks).
I have found references to, no recurring, no memberships,
etc.,
unauthaurized digitial and otherwise books, music, etc.

On the signup form there is specifically a section for
"Internet,
Network and Digitial Media" - I asume that is digital
downloads and not
disk drives, (blank) cd's and dvd's, etc.

Maybe something I missed?

Can you point me to the references place?
