Downloads and Google Checkout?

Hi,

This is sure possible... but not easy (well.. comments with
development
experience in a given language your site is built with).
You basically need to built a reliable return/notification
scripts and
synchronize it with Google notifications/responses (Google
provides
sample routines for some technologies at the "Code
Sample page")

Having built the procedure at my site I should say that
Google
interface is not exactly friendly when it comes to selling
digital
goods or services. Multiple request/response at notification
page
should be constructed for a proper communication with Google
and well
synchronized with the customer return page, where customer
should be
presented with digital merchandise immediately. Average
delay is 30-40
seconds (after customer returns to the site) before the
transaction is
complete during which customer entertained by a
self-refreshed page.

If customer created a new account, then order will not be
charged until
client's email is verified. This fact also needs to be
taken into
consideration and handled for the immediate downloads.

Finally, the shipping has to handled by sending another
notification
request to Google and instruct it NOT to send shipping note
email to
clients. Else, the "Ship" button would appear at
your order management
page, which cannot be bypassed to get to the order
archiving. If "Ship"
button is in turn clicked, the email is sent to client
confirming the
order delivery to the client address. Be ready to burn you
software to
the disk and mail it
