Unexpected element (notification-acknowledgment)

I'm trying to post the notification-acknowledgement:

encoding="UTF-8"?>
<notification-acknowledgment
xmlns="http://checkout.g
oogle.com/schema/2"/>

When posting back to the Google api, i'm getting the
following error
response:

<error-message>Error parsing XML; message from parser
is: Unexpected
element (notification-acknowledgment) encountered:
notification-acknowledgment</error-message>
</error>

I'm using the basic authentication, which seems to be
working fine when
I post a <charge-order>.

Hi,

The response <notification-acknowledgment> should be
sent to Google via
the same connection that the notification messages were sent
through.
In other words, instead of initiating a new connection to
Google to
send the acknowledgment, you can simply respond to the
notification as
soon as you receive it since the connection is kept alive.
