I want to require every user to my site to be required to
have a google
checkout id and password.
During registration they would be required to set up a
google checkout
id and password or verify their user id and password.
1. Can this be done?
2. If so, how?
3. Can you provide a sample code in .ASP classic?
Thanks!

Hi,
If my understanding is correct, this cannot be done per our program
policy (https://checkout.google.com/seller/policies.html):
"Buyers should only have to provide their login, purchasing, and other
information once. If you require users to register or sign in to your
site, you must ensure Google Checkout and Buy Now buttons are available
before the login process so buyers are able to check out with Google
Checkout without having to log in."
Hope this clarifies,
Jacob

Hello Jacob,
I understand this question has been raised multiple times.
But there are certain websites which have registered users, or require user
to register on their website, for all the valid reasons.
Are you telling that for such websites, Google Checkout is not an option?
Are there going to be changes in Google Checkout's policies, that will allow
merchants to maintain their own userbase.
If not, then is there some mechanism (API or something) using which one can
login to a merchant's website using google's credentials, and the merchant
can then use user's google id for personalization. I understand that this
will not work for merchants who already have their own user maintenance
system.
Thanks
Amit

Is anyone going to reply to this?
I am having doubts of using Google Checkout now, as my website will
definitely require user login.
