Yes you'd need to store the values sent by new-order-notification keyed
by google-order-number in your database.
I'd recommend reading this article that talks about selling
downloadable goods using checkout
http://payloadz.blogspot.com/2006/11/how-to-use-google-to-sell-downloadable_20.html
They make creative use of the tracking information and seller's note to
send the donwload url to the buyer.
