I've seen that we can bypass having to redirect the user to
google's
checkout page using the XML and HTTP POST notifications on
the
backend, but in the level 2 integration you still need to
have the
google checkout button on the page... is the google checkout
button
itself necessary? Is there a way to make the whole process
seamlessly
into my own site? Just pass the information I have through
to google
via level 2 integration, regardless of whether I create an
html button
from google checkout?

Also, is it required that customers who use this payment
method have
to sign up for a google checkout acct? Can they simply
enter in the
information necessary in a field?

Signing-up for an account is necessary.

Hi,

Displaying the Google Checkout button on the merchant's View
Cart page
is always required.

Also, regardless of the level of integration, buyers will
have to
click on the Google Checkout button so they can be
redirected to
Google Checkout to place an order.

To clarify, Level 2 integration allows merchants to fulfill
the orders
from their back-end store without having to sign into their
Google
Checkout Merchant Center after the orders are already placed
through
Google Checkout.

Hope this answers your question. Please reply back if this
doesn't
help.

Thanks,
Jacob
