About: Google Checkout does not currently provide the
ability to
disable email forwarding, though this feature may be
introduced at
some point in the future. (If the email address appears
encoded, the
buyer has elected to have Google forward emails between you
and him or
her.)
Example: Richard-bi2jghy1knreg checkout.l.google.com
So "Richard" writes me an my Merchant exposed
email and says he needs
some help. His email is richard gmail.com
I dont see any richard gmail.com as having paid and just being a
"Richard" is not good enough.
He cant prove he paid as all I have is the anomyzed email.
Does
anybody there realize this is a problem for both of us??
Making up this pseudo anonymous email doesnt help me give
good service
nor help the customer. It just causes problems. It does not
spam
insulate as the potential spam gets forwarded anyway. What
was gained?
Most of my orders are via PayPal who has not seen the world
come to an
end by including the Buyer Email. Crucial to that in fact.
Google
Checkout works just great, other that this one point.
Please re-think the value of this email masquerade and just
leave the
Customer email alone.
