I am sending Google our order number through the
add-merchant-order-
number, and I want to verify that it is working, but I do
not know
what to look for. How can I verify this is working?

first of all, you should check google response to ur add-merchant-order-number

its working

but if u dont "trust" that, :P, u can have a look to the orderNumber page in google checkout, and in the right bottom of that page u'll see some text similar to this one

Google order number: 7653xxxxxx07261
YourStoreName order number: Internal-orderNumber-1234

u'll also have a new line in the Order History

Mar 30 1:45 PM Order number added You attached a YourStoreName order number Internal-orderNumber-1234.
