Thread: Forcing notify API calls

Forcing notify API calls

Hi,

I'm currently getting code up and running to deal with the
notify API
calls.

Is there any way to force a message to be sent? It seems
that attempts
get made at sporadic intervals which means that developing
and testing
the service involves a lot of waiting around.

Thanks.

Thanks, I have been doing that for general testing.

I really wanted actual calls from the real servers though to
test my
server security settings etc. I think it would be very handy
to have a
'try again' button against issues in the log that you could
use to
force another attempt.

In short, no. They use a 'back off algorithm'. I.e. next
try is pretty
quick and then will decay to once a day. After 30 days they
quit.

Hi,

Thanks for your suggestion on 'try again' button. I can see
that it
would be very useful for merchants when they miss a
notification
message.

I've logged your suggestion so we can take it into
consideration as we
improve the product.

Thanks,
Jacob
