Google checkout currently has the scenario that google
server calls
store server via SSL.

This shall be change to:
   step 1. google server calls store server with http url
(non
SSL )which just says "New Order Notification",
"Order status changed"
etc. + a serial number. (this step is so brief and has no
value to be
hacked.
   step 2. store server decides weather to get that details
       if yes, call google server via SSL + that servial
number
       else, ignore that message in step 1. or callback
later.

 Such change has benefits:
   1. avoid store server from installing SSL. Because SSL is
costly
and technically troublesome.
   2. help store server call google at any later time if
neccessary.

Hi carl, i think is a good idea. but still the merchant
calculation
API ( http://code.google.com/apis/c
heckout/developer/index.html#merchant_calculations_api
) cant use this mechanism, since the answers must be
instant. And for
this an SSL is needed...


Any ideas?
