VAT display on Checkout

Is there any way in which I can specify the VAT rate and it
to be
calculated and displayed without it adding that amount to
the total?

All products on the site already include VAT, but i'd prefer
it not to
say throughout the google checkout that VAT is £0.00 as this
is
incorrect. I would minus the tax off first and then post
those values
through to Google, but this can incur slightly inacurate
pricing and
also the initial Google checkout page doesn't show any
taxes, so the
products look as if they have gotten cheaper.

Thanks in advance,

Nick

There is no way AFAIK to prevent the £0.00 from appearing so
you have to feed
in ex-vat prices and let google do the tax calculation. You
can hopefully
minimise inaccuracies by manipulating the rounding policy
feature, see

http://code.google.com/apis/checkout/develope
r/index.html#taxes_xsd

This comes about as what I see as a difference in cultural
habits, Americans
add the taxes at the last hurdle whereas Brits tend to
include them unless
selling B2B

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, but is this something Google is
considering
facilitating in the future? I believe the general public
will be
confused by this sort of pricing drop when going through to
checkout.
At the same time we really have to show the amount of VAT
charged
during the checkout process.

Thanks in advance,

Nick
