| Shipping International HTML API |
  United States |
2007-09-26 10:59:16 |
Hi, I'm trying to setup International shipping from the US
with a flat
rate to all International Countries and then another flat
rate for
continental US. Is there a way to do this in the HTML API
without
having to add each country one by one? Also, If I do have
to add each
country one by one can someone point me in the direction of
a list of
supported country codes??
Thanks,
u2cp

yes,
put to allowed area tag http://code.google.com/apis/checkout/developer/Google_Checkout_XML_API_Flat_Rate_Shipping.html#tag_allowed-areas
to ship world_area and then in the http://code.google.com/apis/checkout/developer/Google_Checkout_XML_API_Flat_Rate_Shipping.html#tag_excluded-areas
add the US
this will tell GC to to ship to any place but USA
these are XML tags, but the same concept apply to HTML
u may use this tool to convert XML 2 HTML
https://demo.globant.com/~brovagnati/tools -> XML2HTML
hope this helps

Thanks, Looks like I'll be doing some different shipping to
different
countries as well. Is there a list of available country
codes out
there?

thanks, I will also have a different shipping price for AL,
PR and HA
compared the the continental US. So here is what I have so
far:
<input type="hidden"
name="ship_method_name_1" value="USPS
Priority"/>
<input type="hidden"
name="ship_method_price_1"
value="9.50"/>
<input type="hidden"
name="ship_method_us_area_1"
value="CONTINENTAL_48"/>
<input type="hidden"
name="checkout-flow-support.merchant-checkout-
flow-support.shipping-methods.flat-rate-shipping-2.name"
; value="Canada
Letter Post"/>
<input type="hidden"
name="checkout-flow-support.merchant-checkout-
flow-support.shipping-methods.flat-rate-shipping-2.price&quo
t;
value="30.00" />
<input type="hidden"
name="checkout-flow-support.merchant-checkout-
flow-support.shipping-methods.flat-rate-shipping-2.price.cur
rency"
value="USD"/>
<input type="hidden"
name="checkout-flow-support.merchant-checkout-
flow-support.shipping-methods.flat-rate-shipping-2.shipping-
restrictions.allowed-areas.postal-area-2.country-code"
value="CA"/>
So I see how to do a whole international country, but how
would I go
about putting a different shipping price for AL, PR, and HA
(all three
will be the same price)?
