I want to use Buy Now buttons on my site to accept payments
for
'virtual tickets' to events ie I don't want to have to post
out
physical pieces of paper to customers paying instead I just
want to
send them an email saying print this and bring it with you
to the
event.

Is there any way of either stopping an email confirmation
being sent
to the payer when selecting the post option from Google
checkout or
how do I amend the wording of the email sent to the customer
when the
Post option is selected?

I am new to using Google checkout and a novice building
websites so
please assume I know nothing when you respond!

Paul,

You will want to look into the Digital content features of
Google
Checkout.

http://code.google.com/apis/
checkout/developer/Google_Checkout_Digital_Delivery.html

What this will allow you to do is create a Guid or Key for a
ticket of
some type.

I would guess in your case, you would create some type of
Gif file
that contains a barcode or something of that nature.

If this is the case, you could provide links using the
key/url
feature.

Does this help?

Thanks. I am a novice and it looks quite complex but I'll
have a look
and give it a go.
