Checkout vs Buy Now Buttons

I am creating a e-commerce site using GoogleCheckout for a
customer,
they only sell 2 products, both of these are electronic
products and
require Key/URL delivery.

The orders are processed using the XML Server-to-Server
method.

I would like to use 2 "Buy Now" buttons, these
would submit to my
webservice before submitting the XML to Google as usual.

However according to http://checkout.google.com/supp
ort/sell/bin/answer.py?answer=42908&topic=8669
- "You may not alter the appearance or functionality of
Buy Now
buttons in any way."

Does this mean I cannot alter the auto generated HTML form
code to
instead submit to my XML webservice ?

Does anyone have any answers or suggestions - the only
solution I can
think of is a pair of GoogleCheckout buttons - which does
look a
little odd.

Thanks for any help

there's no problem with doing what you say.

buy now buttons now simply implement the html api, and
server-2-server
checkout is certainly permitted.

you can ask the google guys directly if you like:
http://checkout.google.com/support/sell/bin/request.py

cheers,

Cheers,

I've sent them a message - but I suspect it would be
allowed.

It's the only way of doing a "Buy Now
Server-to-Server" checkout I can
thing of.

Thanks again
