Resource Hog?

Does Desktop Search use cidaemon.exe for indexing and if so,
is there a
way to tune the indexing so it doesn't consume all my laptop
resources
when it kicks in?  if it is the cause of the resource
consumption, it
would be great if the tool could throttle its use of CPU and
Memory
like some other products I've seen(Acoustica does this very
nicely).
