I have installed Google Desktop Enterprise, and chose the
sidebar
option (neat). The news items listed pop up nicely, but if I
link to
them (click on a specific item) then the browser doesn't
open with the
news item in it.
I can qualify this -- the FIRST time (when there is no
browser open --
I use Firefox) then it works fine. If there is a browser
already open
-- and only if -- then the link fails with an error message.
Same symptoms going from sidebar menu to Google Help or
About panels.
This fails (without an error message this time) if (and only
if) there
is a browser open already.
I have re-installed with and without re-creating the index.
I use the
Lotus Notes plug-in. There is not change in behaviour. I
have abandoned
the sidebar for the present (problems not so severe with the
taskbar
input control -- though pop-up news items have the same
problem).
Any ideas?
